A MORE INCLUSIVE WORLD STARTS WITH US

A world where our reaction tells neurodivergent children they belong.

We help individuals and organizations recognize how their attitudes, assumptions and everyday reactions can leave neurodivergent children feeling unwelcome or excluded. Through practical resources, community conversations and shared experiences, we work to change these barriers so every child can connect and belong.

Our Why

For many neurodivergent children and their families, the greatest challenges are not always the differences themselves, but how others respond to them.

A child's behaviour may be viewed as disobedience, poor manners or a reflection of inadequate parenting, rather than an expression of how they experience, process or respond to the world.

These assumptions can shape everyday interactions, making spaces that should offer connection and belonging feel unwelcoming. Over time, the cumulative impact can affect children's confidence, relationships and opportunities to participate in community life.

Neuro Kids Allies was created from the belief that inclusion requires more than simply opening doors. It requires a willingness to question our assumptions, rethink our responses and make room for different ways of being.

When we choose to understand rather than judge, we help create a world where more children can belong.

Our Vision

A world where attitudes, assumptions and everyday responses no longer create barriers to belonging for neurodivergent children and their families.

Our Mission

To break down attitudinal barriers that exclude neurodivergent children and their families from everyday social experiences.

Through awareness, practical resources, community conversations and advocacy, NeuroKids Allies helps peers, loved ones, organizations and communities recognize and challenge misconceptions, change how they respond to neurodivergent differences, and create more welcoming and inclusive environments.

About The Founder

Omotayo is the founder of Neuro Kids Allies (NKA), an initiative inspired by her lived experiences as a neurodivergent adult and parent of a neurodivergent child.

Through her personal journey, she has witnessed how quickly children's differences can be misunderstood and how deeply the reactions of others can affect a family's sense of belonging.

These experiences shaped her belief that meaningful inclusion begins with a shift in how we see, understand and respond to people whose experiences differ from our own.

She founded Neuro Kids Allies to turn that belief into action, creating opportunities for learning, reflection and conversations that encourage people to become more thoughtful and supportive allies.

Through NKA, Omotayo hopes to inspire a culture of empathy, acceptance and everyday allyship, where neurodivergent children are valued for who they are and families can participate in community life with dignity and confidence.
